Joyce Josephine Adams

Joyce Josephine Adams, age 92, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Born May 1, 1924 in Harwood, Texas, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who had been an active member of Spring Baptist Church for many years. In 2008, due to failing health, Joyce moved to be close to her son, A. Carl Mudd and wife, Betty, in Dallas, where she remained until her death. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alvin Mudd and James H. Adams, Jr.; grandchildren, Leslie Leigh Mudd Johnston, Doug Richter; and great grandchild, Derik Hardin. Survived by sons, A. Carl Mudd and wife, Betty; Billy Wayne Mudd and wife, Jeane; grandchildren, Jason Todd Mudd and wife, Sandra Mudd; Joyce Blank and husband, Gary; Tiffany Burgess and husband, Greg; Debbie Mikesh; Barbara Weeks; Al Richter; Dallas Hardin; Earl Wayne Hardin and 13 great grandchildren, Aidan Alexander Mudd Johnston, Jackson Lee Johnston, Katherine Leslie Mudd, Christopher Mudd, Joseph Shelton, Dakota Blank, Shyanne Blank, Daniel Spaeth, Billy Spaeth, Amber Spaeth, Conner Burgess, Brandie Hardin and Cierra Hardin.

Pallbearers are Roy Mudd, Jason Mudd, Aidan Johnston, Christopher Mudd, Greg Burgess, and Gary Blank. Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2017 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will then be at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Internment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
