I sit here on my couch remembering my grandpa. Thinking of his love for Jack in the Box breakfast. Thinking of how grateful I am to know my boyfriend was able to sit and talk with my grandpa. How my grandpa would look for him just to talk and drink coffee. Today is a day of remembrance and it’s dedicated to my grandpa. Love you forever old man 💗

Juan.  I didn’t have the honor to know you as long as others but I am so thankful for the time God gave me with you.  The moments that radiate most in my memory is your smile.  It brought so much joy and light in to my world.  Those smiles made me feel so special and loved.  You were always welcoming, honest and so funny! I loved to hear you laugh as I practiced my Spanish. You were so patient with me and coached me through the harder words. 

 It was such a pleasure to hear the stories of Bebo smashing his fingers at Don Chile or the time he almost caught the place on fire.  Oh, the stories you told.  Sitting with you while you had your coffee and pan dulce was truly one of the sweetest moments in life.  Hearing your stories of the pecan farms or trips you took as a little boy will be held in my heart till, I see you again. 

You were a man of love and honor.  No one could say anything bad about you.  Ever! You loved your family so deeply and so passionately and would do anything for them.  The statement I always heard was “He’d give you the shirt off his back”.  You have left a beautiful legacy of a life well lived.  I am grateful that I shared a brief but beautiful moment of it knowing you.   You will be missed by many but your legacy of love will continue to live on through us. 

Gracias por siempre estar al pendiente  de mi princesa Lexi. Siempre el ágüelo dulce y tierno. Que se robo el corazon de Lexi. El suegro tierno con migo. Gracia por todo su amor y apoyo. Sus consejos. Siempre lo llevaremos en el corazón. Dios nos bendicio con su presencia en nuestra vidas. Gracias  por todo mi suegro querido. My one and only “Apa”. He was the only grandfather I’ve truly ever had, and I can say he was the best one. I couldn’t have asked for anything more because he was everything I needed in a grandparent. I remember the times my siblings and I would stay over at my grandparents apartment and he would be there in the living room with us watching his National Geographic shows. I remember when my family and I would go to Don Chile Sunday mornings or Friday afternoons and he would be there waiting for us drinking his coffee. I most certainly won’t ever forget when he would secretly give us money by sneaking it into a handshake. It still hasn’t hit me that he’s gone, but he is. He will always be alive within me spiritually. I love you Apa and I will carry you with my always ❤️

My grandpa was such a loving pure soul. He was always such a good person and never got mad for anything, I never got to see that side of my grandpa; mad. He will be truly missed; his smile, his laugh, his little side comments and especially his jokes. The crazy thing is, I was so attached to him than what I was to my grandma, you would think I would be more attached to my grandma, but no this was different. My grandpa had such a big heart and would do anything and everything for anybody he loved. You’ll always have a special place in my heart. I will never forget our memories and the times I always had you change my diaper because I would prefer you over my grandma. I love you Apa 💙

My father the memories I have of him are by far the best I will ever have. As I sit here trying to gather my thoughts of what to say about him .. I choke, I  try to grasp a few memories but his face comes to mind and I cry. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting my dad I know you could say the same that he was truly an awesome person. He was kind sweet generous funny stern truthful and most of all he loved his family. I will thank God everyday for giving him to me as my father he will forever be in my heart and I will never forget him. I love you “Apa” and thank you for your sacrifices your love and tenderness I’m going to miss you. Love you, your daughter
