Kathleen was married to Richard Lynn Durtschi, together having 7 children. She was charismatic and loved life. After raising her children, she successfully embraced a career as a top-level interior designer and salesperson in Houston. She eventually opened her own consignment store in Houston until relocating to Austin. For the past 10 years, or so, and up to her passing, she continued to buy and sell jewelry at a store in Albuquerque, NM where she lived. It was a hobby she dearly enjoyed. Her mind remained sharp to the end, but her body defied the mind. Kathleen loved her family, shopping, gardening, sitting by the fireplace on cold winter days with her beloved cat, Missy, and the occasional visit to the casinos. She will be so missed.
