Kavin Ronald Bailey

Kavin Ronald Bailey "Cadillac" transitioned from this life on Thursday, August 18, 2016. Hew was born to J. B. Bailey and Lovie Bailey in Houston, Texas on August 13, 1957. Kavin was baptized at an early age at Progressive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend B. J. Lewis. Kavin attended school at A. B. Anderson and Valley High in Matamoros, Mexico and learned to speak fluent Spanish. He graduated from George Washington Carver in 1975. Kavin held several positions throughout his professional career. He was employed at the Rice Village Hotel, was an assistant manager at Mr. and Ms. Fashion; a driver for the both Metro and Star Shuttle, an agent for Avis Budget Car Rental. He was also employed by Hillman Distributing and Bailey and Son Barbecue until 2015. Kavin enjoyed underwater swimming and playing dominoes. He enjoyed volunteering at Fonwood Elementary School and received an award for doing so. Kavin was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. J. B. Bailey, Sr. and Lovie Bailey and brothers: J. B. Bailey, Jr. and Lawrence Bailey. Together a total of 37 years, Kavin leaves to cherish his memories, wife Sharon Atkins Bailey; one son Kavin Ro Bailey II; two brothers Solomon Bailey, Sr. and Rosevelt Robertson; three sisters Odessa Akinkunmi, Tula Wesley (Rick) and Glory Cruse (L. C.) and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and Neighbors.
