

Kenneth Paul Barnes Sr., was born to the late Willie Jane Barnes and the late Calvin Chaney Sr on January 18, 1958 in Houston, Texas. Proceeded in death by 4, brothers Eddie Barnes, Howard Barnes, Jammie Lee Barnes, John Barnes and 1 sister Joy Levi. Kenneth accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age. Kenneth graduated from Eisenhower High School Class of 1976, where his reputation of being a great friend and caring to all that crossed his path. In his adult life he was a member of Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor G. T. Curry Jr. and later connected with Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Marcel Miles. Kenneth Paul Barnes Sr. worked for Lipton Staple Company 20 years and Milwaukee Electric Tools for 18 years where he retired and became owner of Ray’s Bar-B-Que & Catering. In this journey, Kenneth leaves to cherish the love of his life, his soul mate, his wife of 22 years Mrs. Wanda Barnes , within this union a blended family of love was formed through their children Kristi Moore ( Paul Moore) , Raynord Taylor, Kenneth Paul Barnes II ( Veldonna Barnes ),Kevin Patrick Barnes, Jarrard Taylor, Kerry Barnes, and Roanna Bridges. Kenneth loved his children without a doubt; however his heart beat double for his grandchildren Keriyana Barnes, Aaliyah Taylor, Cerrianna Batiste, Dezhan Stewart, Deriana Barnes, Jarrard Taylor II, Kaydon Barnes, Kaiyann Barnes, Kerry Barnes II. Upon God calling him home for healing and rest he leaves his unconditional love amongst his siblings; Doris Terry ( Luis Terry ), Norine Jones , Margaret Baynes ( Norman Baynes) , Trina L. Chaney ,Herbert Barnes, Samuel Barnes ( Bonnie Jean Barnes) , Charles Barnes , Calvin Chaney Jr. ( Zanetta Chaney), and Rodney Chaney ( Freda Chaney) . Kenneth also leave to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Three special friends Pamela Uhlig, Michelle Worthing and Celeste Wilson
