Kenneth accepted Christ at an early age, and his life echoed the same.
Kenneth graduated from Southeastern High School. He received many certificates from the Culinary Industry.
In 1977, he met the love of his life, Serina, at Western Sizzlin’ Steak House, where he was cooking, and she was serving up salads. This marked the beginning of a true love affair. On March 19, 1983, they were married in holy matrimony.
Kenneth was a family man. He was very close to his mother, Mrs. Ezolia, and she would often tell him how proud she was of him. He loved his children and grandchildren so much and there was nothing that he would not do for them.
His passion was cooking. He would prepare delicious meals for the entire family every day, every holiday and on special occasions. Fishing was another one of his passions. Kenneth and Serina would spend many weekends in Galveston, TX just enjoying each other, whether the fish were biting or not.
Kenny was an excellent chef and such a hard-working man. He made many lifelong friends along life’s way. His places of employment included Western Sizzlin’ Steakhouse, The Pappas, Pappadeaux, Hyatt Regency Hotel and Luby’s Cafeteria. Kenny retired in December 2017. Friends such as Mr. & Mrs. Harris and Don Schlossberg were amongst the numerous friends that held a special place in his heart.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Hilton and Ezolia Bellard and his brother, Paul Bellard.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Serina, four children: Kenneethia, Margaret, Kenny Jr. and Candace; grandchildren: Nia Kennard, Keneice Bellard, Kristopher Bellard, Aaron Gonzales, Lila Fox, Ivy Fox, Carl Jr. and Baby Margaret; brothers: Leo Bellard, Michael Bellard, John B. Woods; sisters: Pauline Moran (James), and Mona; cousins: Laura Belle Henderson and Laura Marie Hooper; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and many friends.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.carlbarnesfuneralhome.net for the Bellard family.
