

Kenneth R. Crear passed away on January 10, 2015. He was the oldest son of four siblings born to the late Burleson and Vivian Crear on July 11, 1957. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Wiley L. Dun, which was the Pastor of New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He attended Booker T. Washington High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Hunter. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on January 13, 1979 in Yale Street Baptist Church by Rev. J. T. Holcombe. Kenneth played the leadership role early in his young adult life. He quickly worked his way toward a Management position at Pizza Inn and was also very instrumental in recruiting his close relatives including siblings and friends to join the team of restaurant management. At the age of 30, he changed his career to driving local for Keebler Cookie Co., where he was employeed for over 10 years. He became a member of the East Gate Lodge #80 and earned his 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree and was also a Patron of Naomi Chapter #38. In his later years he also switched gears again and worked in Distribution for over 15 years, for Star Stainless Screw Co. and recently retired in 2012-2013. Preceding him in death were his mother Vivian Crear and Father, Burleson Crear and his youngest brother Kevin E. Crear, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories and to celebrate his life: his wife Sharon H. Crear, two sons Kenneth R. Crear II and Kendrick R. Crear and their mother Brenda K. Roddy, brother Keith Crear (Xochit), Sisters Donna Kay Reece and Kimberly Crear, a special cousin Cheryl Sanders and cousins of Conroe and Tyler, TX and a host of, nephews, nieces other family and friends.
