

Kyra was a resident of The Parson’s House Assisted Living Home in La Porte, Texas. She was a member of the La Porte Community Church of La Porte, Texas. Kyra was born in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana and spent most of her young life, in South Louisiana in Cornerview, Louisiana. She moved to Texas in her teens with her brother and parents. While living in Texas, Kyra attended Dayton high school for a short time and later graduated from Tomball High School class of 1942. Her warm, friendly smile and easy going personality won her many friends along life’s journey. Kyra was a wonderful, amazing, sweet lady, who took everything in stride, no matter what it was. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Kyra is preceded in death by her parents, Lucy G. Brantley and Sulcy Gautreaux. Her loving husband of many years, G.M.Britton “Mel”, one brother Hubert T. Gautreaux, her step father, Benny Brantley , a son-in –law, William “Bill” Waldron, three aunts: Elsie, Lise, and Bertha, four uncles: Allen, Alcide, Alces, and Elphedge, and numerous cousins. Kyra leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Jackie Waldron of Canyon Lake, Texas, two sons: Terry Britton and wife Helen of Montgomery, Texas, Dean Britton and wife Jodi, Seabrook, Texas, three grandsons: Craig Waldron of Austin, Texas, Casey Britton, Seabrook, Texas, and William Britton, Montgomery, Texas, two granddaughters: Kyra Lee Britton, Houston, Texas, Marie Britton, Montgomery, Texas, one great-grandson, Jr. Britton, Seabrook, Texas, one great-granddaughter, Jasmyne Britton, Seabrook, Texas, a niece, Lynette Thibeau & family , Gonzales, Louisiana. Kyra is also survived by numerous family members in Louisiana, whom she held dear to her heart. Rest in peace dear Kyra, you were an angel on earth and now you will be an angel in heaven.
