Leola McCoy

Leola A. McCoy, age 69, was born on February 24, 1949 in Marshall, TX. to William Henry and Maudie Mae Armington and later moved to Houston. She loved God and was a faithful Sunday school teacher and member of Bella Vista Missionary Baptist Church along with her family for many years. She retired as a Social Worker after 20 years from CPS. She loved and enjoyed being around family and friends. As she got “hipped” to social media, she loved to “go live” on FaceBook to video family gatherings or to just engage in conversation with whomever may have been online at the time. Also, she couldn’t be beat in spades and was always ready for a challenge. She was preceded in death by her parents William Henry and Maudie Mae Armington, her siblings, brother Henry Lee Armington (Brock), sister Lavada Gilder and son Maurice McCoy, Jr. (FuFu). She leaves to cherish her memories with her sister, Willie Mae Atkins (BabyDoll) and brother, Albert Armington (Pook) and her daughters, Alicia R. McCoy (Lisa), Erica L.McCoy (Trecy) and step daughter Chelsia McCoy. Also, her grand and great grandchildren, Calvin F. Wright, Jr., Bryant D. McCoy, LaToya C. McCoy, Anthony M. Edwards, Bianca C. Wright, Eric J. Bolding, Maurice A. McCoy, Jada A. McCoy, Jamarus L. Bolding, Tre’vian T. Bolding, Gabriel A. Pearson, Monet C. Pearson, Johnathan X. McCoy, Bryonne McCoy, Journee L Malbrough, Camayia R. Davis, and Bryant McCoy, Jr. and a host of family and friends. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed!!!!
