Mr. Leon Joseph Combs

Leon graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He was a driver in the construction business for The City of Houston. Leon had a passion for watching western movies and he loved telling jokes.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents Earnest Combs Sr. and Gertrude Mary (Wilson) Combs as well as his siblings Earnest Combs Jr., Napoleon Combs and Ernestine Couie.

Leon is survived by his sisters Delores Moore, Estella Evans and Rose Combs. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.

A visitation for Leon will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Carl Barnes Funeral Home, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008. A graveside service will occur Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, Texas 77088.
