

Lillian Ruth Compte passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an only child that was blessed with a large family that loved her immensely.
She was born to the late Frank and Scina Brierton in Mineral Wells, Texas on March 9,1926. Frank Brierton sold pencils and paper outside of department stores in Fort Worth, Texas. He had spinal meningitis as a child, which caused him to be disabled below the neck. Her father was the inspiration for Willie Nelson’s song, “Pretty Paper.”
Lillian married the love of her life, Arnold Brady Compte, also known as A.B. They shared an amazing life and raised 6 children together. They were ahead of their time and knew the art of raising a blended family. They welcomed everyone into their home and life, they both were exceptionally loving and accepting.
Lillian loved spending time with family and friends. Always the life of the party and looking for a great time. She was quick witted, sassy, and ready for an adventure. Lillian never missed a chance for a great road trip or a family gathering. She loved to dance, play the slots, and all kinds of fun games.
Lillian is preceded in rest by her parents, Frank & Sciana Brierton; husband, A.B. Compte; daughter, Pat Webb, and grandson, Bradly Webb. She is survived by her children, Bernie Webb & wife Georgia, Robert Webb & wife Lou, Rick Compte, Melanie Madison, & Butch Compte; her grandchildren, Kelly & Gerald Mobley, Johnny & Kelli Webb, Stephanie & Mark Milstead, Jason and Jolie Webb, Angela & Mark McQuiggin, Nicole & Brooke Compte, Ricky Compte Jr., Ivy Lynn Soileau, Ricky Michelle Compte, Jordyn & Misael Zuniga, Andrew Armstrong, Colin Ray, Shelby Woodrome, Mike Compte, Steve Compte, Keith Compte, Chuck & Penny Webb, and Shannon & Jeff Spurlock; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Lillian leaves behind an amazing legacy in all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great- grandchildren. To know her was to know love and feel tremendous love, her memory will live in all of us that knew and loved her.
