While growing up in Bristol, TX, she went to school and obtained her formal education in the Ferris ISD school system. She resided in Ennis, TX and Dallas, TX before settling down and making Houston, TX her home.
Lillie joined and has been a part of the Greater True Light Missionary Baptist Church since the 1960’s. She served in various capacities such as the Women’s choir, Nurse’s Aide committee, Sunday School and the Sick committee. She loved church and more importantly she loved Jesus.
