

Linda Williams Brothers, 78, of Lufkin, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 peacefully at her home in Houston, Texas. She was born June 15, 1939 to Carl and Sallie Williams of Lufkin, Texas. She grew up in Lufkin, Texas and went to Lufkin High School graduating in 1957. She was actively involved in high school clubs. Linda was President of Future Nurses, active in FTA, Choir and Junior Red Cross.
She went on to study nursing at Texas Woman's University in Houston, Texas. She started her nursing career at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, for many years before transferring into administration. After a successful career at Baylor College of Medicine, she used her knowledge of nursing and pursued a new career at Liddell Sapp, working for one of their lead personal injury attorneys. After a long stint at Liddell Sapp, she was recruited by Burlington Resources to work with their General Council.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Sally Williams, brother Doaker Williams and sister Emily Askew. She is survived by her two sisters Kathy Williams Gilbert and Carolyn Williams Pierce, her daughter Suzanne Brothers Koch, son David Patrick Brothers and daughter in-law Tonya Brothers, grandson Chase Christopher Koch and grand-daughter Kara Watson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Freeway on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10 a.m., with a celebration to follow after at Earthman Resthaven. Earthman Resthaven has been handling the funeral arrangements.
