Loretta Julie Boyd

Loretta Julie Grigalanz Boyd, age 88 passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 at her home in Houston, Texas surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 29, 1936 to parents, John Grigalanz and Elda Seeman In Frankfurt, Illinois. She was a member of Queen of Peace, Catholic Church for more than 50 years and worked for the school as the kitchen manager for over 10 years. She volunteered her time and was head of the CCE program for many years and prior to that she was a CCE teacher.

She met her husband to be Sherwood Boyd when working at the same department store and married him January 3, 1953 in Houston, Texas. They were married for 67 years.

Loretta is survived by her children, Cindy, Cheryl, Debbie, and her sister Mary.

12 grandchildren: Julie, Christy, Ambyr, Greg Jr., Scott, Juan, Lori, Patty, Holly, Michael, David and Timothy.

23 great grandchildren : Christopher, Raul, Destiny, Lexi, Andrew, Dario, Dylan, Liberty, Samurai, Austin, Michael Jr., Caiden, Colton, Stella, Pressley, Corbin, Grayson, Riley, Sebastian, Cole, Ryder, Daisy and Maverick

3 great-great grandchildren : Lizzie, Joshua and Hayden

2 nephews: Glenn and Raymond

1 great-great grand pup: Archie

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Sherwood, sons Rodney and Randy, and great grandson Cameron.
