Luciano Cruz Rodriguez, age 80, of Wharton, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 30, 2025. He was born on January 7, 1945, in Wharton, Texas, to the late Cruz Rodriguez and Amelia G. Rodriguez. Luciano was a proud business owner, whose hard work and determination provided for his family and set an example of dedication and devotion.
He married his beloved wife, Sanjuana G. Rodriguez, with whom he shared a life of love and devotion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sanjuana G. Rodriguez; and his five children: Lisa Salazar; Debbie and her husband David Contreras; Frank and his wife Lisa Cordova; Dean and his wife Jecelyn Rodriguez; and Chadwick and his wife Fe Lauron-Rodriguez. His legacy also lives on through his 24 beloved grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, who were his greatest source of pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings Sandra Ramirez, Abelardo Rodriguez, Salvador Rodriguez, Julie Torres, and Debra Valdez.
Luciano was preceded in death by his parents, Cruz Rodriguez and Amelia G. Rodriguez; his brothers, Benito Rodriguez and Emilio Rodriguez; and two beloved grandchildren, Judith Rodriguez and Matthew Cordova.
Though he is no longer with us, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
