He was born of the late Porfirio and Paula Barrios on January 2, 1927 in Eagle Lake, TX. Manuel graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1945. He married the late Sarah Barrios in 1948 and they lived together in Houston, TX and had 48 years of marriage. Manuel was a proud veteran of World War II. He had 14 siblings and was the last of 15 children.
Manuel is survived by four sons: Herbert Barrios and wife Lydia Barrios of Waller, TX; Gilbert Barrios and wife Vivian Barrios of Houston, TX; Wallace Barrios of Houston, TX; and Kenneth Barrios and wife Deborah Barrios of Houston, TX. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6-9pm, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 and 8am-9pm, with a rosary at 7pm, on Thursday, August 27, 2015.
Funeral service will be 10am, on Friday, August 28, 2015, followed by graveside service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
