Manuel “Manny” Muguerza, Sr., 81, passed away on October 7, 2013. He worked at the Shamrock Hilton Hotel for 36 years and Master Rig International for the last few years of his life. He loved to dance, travel, garden and was an avid hunter. He hunted at some of the best ranches in Texas and Mexico. Manny was preceded in death by his mother, Christina Sadas; father, Manuel Muguerza; brothers, Louis and Paz Muguerza; sisters, Esther and Stella Muguerza; and daughter, Annette Hashtani; Manny is survived by son, Victor and Kelly Muguerza; daughter, Christine and Hugo Rodriguez; son, Manuel and wife Beverly Muguerza; loving companion, Ann Stutes; sisters, Irene Boado and Elsa Muguerza. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in the Oak Room of Earthman Resthaven and a funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven with burial following at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
