Margaret Elzine Evans

Margaret Elzine Evans passed away on Wednesday, April 3rd at the age of 91 years old. She was born June 29, 1932 to Ulysses Rudd and Ella Ferguson in Tallahasee, Florida. Elzine met and married the love of her life, Bert Evans February 16,1951. Their love for cacti and succulents led to Elzine and Bert becoming founding members of the Houston Cactus and Succulent Society where she served as President and served many chairmanships. Elzine and Bert where long time members of Second Baptist Church where they met many lifelong friends and enjoyed fellowship with the many different classes. Elzine will be most remembered for her flair in dressing in her fashionable outfits, as well as a special outfit for every holiday.

Elzine will be met in Heaven by her husband Bert, and son Brian Evans. She is survived by her daughter in law Kimberly Evans and grandchildren Mckenzie, Taylor and Todd; close cousin Harold and his wife June Cox, cousin Sue Panky and husband Mel, cousin Carl Cox and along with several other cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway, Houston, TX 77057 on Friday, April 26th at 11:00am in the Chapel.
