Eva Margaret Wilkerson Kocurek, “Mimo”, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord of June 19, 2014 due to complications of Alzheimer’s. She was born on January 30, 1930 in Wildorado, TX to Monte Rea and Charles Wilkerson, the middle daughter of 8 children. She always took great pride in being a sixth generation Texan. She was valedictorian of New Caney High School and completed 2 years of college at South West Texas State University. She met and married the love of her life, Albin Louis Kocurek. They celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 11th, 2014.Together they built Alco Duplicating and printing and devoted their lives to raising a family. Homemaking was her gift and her sense of humor was the ribbon tied around it. Her smile was infectious. She was the ultimate hostess, always knowing how to throw a party! She also was the ultimate, nurturing caregiver to family and friends in need. Margaret had a sense of adventure that carried her across the tundra of Northern Alaska on a camping and hiking trip for her 50th birthday. She introduced snow skiing to the family, which became a lifelong passion for all of us. She and Dad went cruising down the Amazon and came back with wild stories of rainforests and piranhas. They had many fond travel memories. Every year she rented a house in Galveston for the family and was always the first one in the waves, playing with her 11 grandchildren, whom she adored. She is preceded in death by her parents and 6 of her siblings. She is survived by her husband Al and by her children, daughter Karol Bruton (husband Doug), son Randell Kocurek Sg., daughter Susan White (husband Randy) and son John Kocurek (wife Diane).
