

Margaret Louise Meadows born November 29, 1918, went to her home with the Lord on September 17, 2011. Louise was born in Corsicana, Texas and was the daughter of Anesther and Charles Walker Clarkston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years, William Tilton Meadows, sister Maedell Collins, son-in-law Frank Limberger, Jr., and grandchildren Frank Limberger III and Leslie Limberger.
She is survived by sister Frances Phipps, daughters JoAnn Strait and husband Randy, Nancy Limberger, and Mary Knight and husband Louis, grandchildren Bill Strait and wife Mickie, Kristi Strait, Brian Strait and wife Emily, Kari Oppermann and husband Bobby, Jim Knight, Amy Bodiford and husband Ryan, Elly Durham and husband JD, and Anny Knight and 5 great grand children.
Her life was characterized by hard work and a passion for her family, husband, girls, music and hairdressing. Her work ethic shaped by the depression years was a key feature of her life. She was a dedicated wife and mother and a talented hairdresser for sixty-three years where she was a fixture on the corner of Dumble and Polk in Houston's east end. She lived the majority of her life in Houston, Texas.
Her combination house and beauty shop was near Hughes Tool where her husband Tilton worked for over 40 years. She was a talented musician and a wonderful pianist who enjoyed a lifelong passion for music. A dedicated Christian, she was a member of Park Place Baptist church.
Visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will begin at 10:30am in the Chapel of Angels of Forest Park on Wednesday, September 21, 2011.
