Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Raúl Ortiz; padre, Arnulfo Lerma y madre, María Del Socorro Álvarez.

A María le sobreviven sus hijos Jonathan y Alberto Ortiz; nietos, Jonathan Jacob Ortiz y Evan Rey Ortiz y otros miembros de la familia.

Disfrutaba caminar, pasar tiempo con sus nietos y recordar con cariño a su querido Mazatlán.

La familia quisiera agradecer a los cuidadores de Harbor Hospice por el cuidado y la compasión que mostraron a nuestro ser querido en sus últimos días.

Se invita a familiares y amigos a unirse en Forest Park Lawndale – 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023 – el miércoles 6 de noviembre de 2024. El velorio con la familia comenzará a las 5:00 p. m., seguido de un rosario a las 6:30 p. m. .

El entierro seguirá en Forest Park Lawndale – 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023 – el jueves 7 de noviembre de 2024. Misa a las 10:00 a. m., seguida de entierro a las 11:00 a. m.

Maria Guadalupe Ortiz of Houston, Texas passed away on October 31st 2024 at the age of 72. She was born on January 11th, 1952, in Rosario, Sinaloa Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raul Ortiz; father, Arnulfo Lerma and mother, Maria Del Socorro Alvarez.

Maria is survived by her sons Jonathan and Alberto Ortiz; grandsons, Jonathan Jacob Ortiz and Evan Rey Ortiz and other family members.

She enjoyed walking, spending time with her grandkids, and remembering her beloved Mazatlán fondly.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Harbor Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

Family and friends are invited to join them at Forest Park Lawndale – 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023 - on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Visitation with the family will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by a rosary at 6:30 pm.

Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale – 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023 - on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Mass at 10:00 am, followed by burial at 11:00 am.
