Marie Barrington Roach

Marie Barrington Roach, age 89, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016. Born in Refugio, Texas, she was a loving mother and grandmother, who never met a stranger and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 1/2 years, Richard B. Roach; grandson, Greg Skinner; sisters, Kathleen Morris and May Jeanne Slaughter; and brother, Ollie “Sonny” Barrington, Jr. Survived by daughters, Sharon Roach Douglas and Marilyn Tanner and fiancé Ted Williams; grandchildren, David Tanner and wife Carman, Mark Bane and wife Darcie, and Jim Tanner and wife Courtney; great grandchildren, Cody Skinner and wife Sara, LD Tanner, Elyse Tanner, Rhett Tanner, Jesse Tanner, Cheyenne Marie Carson, Kaitlyn Marie Bane, and Kendall Paige Bane; brother, Billy Ray Barrington and wife Shannon; nieces Denise Slaughter, Kay Skaggs, Judy Thigpen, Cheryl Culifer, Kitty Kyle and Sandy Cathcart; nephews James Slaughter, Craig Barrington and Billy Barrington. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven with her nephew, LeRoy Skaggs, officiating. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: LD Tanner, Rhett Tanner, Jim Tanner, Mark Bane, Charles Tanner and Harvey Tanner.
