Marie Catherine Thompson (Cathy) of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the age of 79. She was born on November 7, 1944 in Houston, Texas where she grew up with her mother and father as one of six children.
She graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Interior Design. She worked in retail at various locations over the years, but was employed the longest at Lord and Taylor in the Houston Galleria. She was actively involved in the lives of her two granddaughters, Penny and Evie.
Marie is preceded in death by their mother (Helen Hobbs), Father (Ed Hobbs), sister (Donna), husband (Don Thompson) and daughter (Jennifer Thompson). She is survived by her daughter, Susie Janik and two grandchildren Penny and Evie.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Forest Park Lawndale on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 1pm, Visitation with the family will begin at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
