Mario was raised in the Heights of Houston, Texas where he attended John H. Reagan High School; class of 1980. He Married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Vasquez and together they had four beautiful children.
Mario began his first career as a pastry chef, where he picked up his love of baking. Later in life, he found his love for travel, as a Test and Balance Technician. He fulfilled his dreams of living on the island of Cozumel, Mexico by opening his restaurant where he was able to do what he loved most, entertaining and meeting new people. His favorite past times included deep-sea fishing, sitting on the beach, baking, scuba diving, teaching the children's ministry as well as teaching people about the bible. He never met a stranger, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and treated everyone as his equal. He loved to entertain, play with his dog and of course loved coupons and good deals.
Mario is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Roland Vasquez; step mother, Esther Vasquez, and his best friend, Blade Cano.
Left to cherish his memory is his spouse of many years, Debbie Vasquez; mother, Felicitas Vasquez; daughters, Tiffany Villegas and husband Noe Villegas, Amy Rodriguez and husband Jose Rodriguez; sons, Mario Vasquez and wife Maggie Vasquez, Eric Vasquez and wife Kyla Vasquez; grandchildren, Mikaela Vasquez, Isabel Villegas, Alyssa Villegas, Lauren Villegas, Brandon Villegas, JoAngel Rodriguez, Olive Vasquez and Violet Vasquez.
