Martha Vargas, a devoted mother and loving daughter and sister, born November 11, 1969 to Octaviano and Bertha Vargas in Durango, Mexico passed away on December 11, 2013 at the age of 44. She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew, Jesus Vargas. Martha is survived by her sons, Brayant and Edwin Lopez; mother, Bertha Vargas; siblings, Octaviano Vargas Jr., Betty Vargas, Jose "Chito" Vargas, Maria Vargas, Petra "Tita" Vargas, Juan Vargas and Raul Vargas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, Houston, Texas and she will be laid to rest next to her father at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
