Mary Aurelia Cordova, born December 18, 1955 in Houston, passed on March 1, 2014, after a courageously fought battle against cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Gilbert Cordova, Sr., her brothers, Gilbert Cordova, Jr., Jesse Cordova, Sr., and Frank Cordova, Sr. She is survived by partner, Jeannette Costilla, siblings Carlos Cordova, Sr. (Concepcion), Carmen Mercado (Jose), Joe Cordova, Teresa Gonzales, Angela Rodriguez (Ramiro), Arthur Cordova, and numerous nieces and nephews. Aurelia was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for over 40 years and will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 4-9pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 7539 Ave. K Houston, Texas 77012. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
