Mary Gaudet Duhon

Born July 26, 1937 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Curtis B. and Mary Gaudet, entered heaven on June 29, 2011 after a lenghthy illness. She treasured her occupation as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Trinity Texas. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Russell Gaudet and sister Betty Rigney. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James W. Duhon, Sr., her son James Jr. and his wife Colleen, daughters; Christine Quinn and her husband James, Anna Duhon. She cherished her 10 grandchildren and their spouses and 27 great-granchildren. She is also survived by her sister Helen Castille and husband Wilbert, brother Curtis Gaudet of Lafayette, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2011 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 401 Prospect Dr., Trinity, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 3:30 p.m. and the Funeral Mass to be held at 4:00 p.m. A second visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, Houston, Texas. Graveside service to be held Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Trinity, Texas or to Odyssey Hospice of Conroe, Texas.
