After high school (REAGAN), MFB tried her hand in the Cosmetology world, but decided it wasn’t for her.
While working for G E Supply Co, she decided to leave and follow Clyde Rutland as he was opening a new supply house in Houston, Wholesale Electric. She worked at Wholesale until the birth of her first child. Reentering the work force, she was employed for 23 years at T J Burnett Insurance Agency. In 1979, Mary Frances returned to Wholesale Electric as Credit Manager and continued there until her retirement at the age of 70 years.
Nona loved bowling leagues, SWEE shows, HEL golf tournaments and dances, Delta Downs and trips to Lake Charles, shopping, and any time she could spend at her son’s house on Lake Travis. Her greatest pride and pleasure was her family. Mary Frances served as President of the Sagemont Townhouse HO Association and for the Houston Electrical League. Mary Frances was the first female to be presented the “DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD” by HEL in 1987.
Mary Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George H Kyle, Jr., nephews, Matt Kyle and Christopher Kyle Lunsford. She is survived by her son, Jeff Burnett; daughter, Cindy Sitterle.
