Mary Evelyn Larson

Mary (Buhler, Lowery) Larson, 87, born 1/27/1927, died 12/11/2014. She graduated from Reagan High School and grew up in the Heights. She married Evan Allen Lowery, Sr. in April 1946. Mary and Allen started Allen Office Supply and Printing, Inc. in 1962. She is survived by her four children: Debbie Ratz (Monty), Gwen Patterson (Hugh), Evan Allen Lowery, Jr. and Wendy Bruney (Steve). Mary also is survived by three grandsons: Brandon (Misty), Dustin (Crystal), and Zach and two great grandchildren: Grace and Brayden. In 1991, she married George N. Larson, Jr. and moved to Spicewood, Texas. Together they owned and ran Camp Pedernales. Due to illness they moved back to the Houston area in 2012. Mary is survived by her husband, George, his children and grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, December 15, 2014, 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1819 Heights Blvd. Houston, Texas 77008. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service with a reception following service at the church. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014, 10:15 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to St. Andrew’s, the American Cancer Society or the National Alzheimer’s Association.
