

Mary Lydoth Steffenauer, a 75 year resident of Pasadena, 96, passed away with her family by her side at The Heritage House on Thursday, November 5, 2015. She was born in Attalla, Alabama on August 18, 1919 where she lived for 18 years until moving to Texas and meeting the love of her life Warren Douglas Steffenauer. Mary loved spending time with her family and visiting with her grandchildren. Her best times were sitting on her swing in her drive way eating tootsie pops with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved hosting holiday parties at her house and cooking enough food to feed an army. She was known for her banana budding, blueberry banana cheesecake, potato salad, and her famous dressing at Thanksgiving. She also loved music and dancing and being with her family sipping on a Pina Colada. In her early years of marriage her husband was a fast pitch softball manager and she loved spending time at the baseball park and traveling with the team to tournaments. Last month she was able to attend the Houston Texas Fast Pitch Legends Hall of Fame and received her husband, Doug’s, induction award into the Hall of Fame.
She is survived by her 3 sons; Warren Douglas (Tooter) and wife Donna, Danny and wife Beverly, David Wayne and wife Patsy; 7 grandchildren; Ronnie Steffenauer and wife Rebecca, Paul Steffenauer, Jamie Manning and husband Rad, Kevin Steffenauer and wife Kelly, Shelly Olsovsky and husband Matt, Ross Steffenauer and wife Melanie, Cindy Bramlet and husband Joseph; 13 great grandchildren, Jennifer Beckham and husband Brandon, Jeffery Steffenauer and wife Amy, Julie, Blake, and Alex Steffenauer, Karissa Manning, Regan and Paityn Steffenauer, Casen Bury, Kendall and Colby Olsovsky, and Ava and Abel Bramlet; and 3 great-great grandchildren; Madeline Beckham, and Molly and Jacob Steffenauer.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Douglas Steffenauer Sr.; grandson, Kyle Steffenauer; her parents, Napoleon Eugene and Lettie Bell Adams; and siblings, Reid Adams, Hubert Adams, Spud Adams, and Leecy Gibbins.
