“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” - Revelations 21:4
On March 31, 1962, in Houston, Texas a baby was born to Donald Jones (deceased), and Cleopatra Sales-Jones. They named their gift, Michael Carl Jones. He was the second born of three children: Pamela Jones and Gerald Jones.
He graduated from Booker T. Washington in 1980 and received a football/basketball scholarship at Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. Michael Jones Sr. would leave after two years to attend the birth of his firstborn son, Michael Carl Jones Jr., and later his second-born daughter, Kanesha Brooks. Afterward, Michael left his football/basketball career behind to join the United States Air Force. He was stationed at the Buechel, Germany Air Force base and served as a United States Military Police Officer. While he was there, he continued playing basketball for the Air Force, along with a German regional team.
Michael then met his lovely soulmate, Anita Hochscherf, in 1985 while stationed in Germany. Michael and Anita were married on June 14, 1988, in Galveston, Texas. On March 31, 1991, he received the gift of their beautiful daughter, Chanel Yvette Jones. Then 8 years later, on June 24, 1999, he welcomed a baby boy, Christopher Tracey Jones. Michael worked for Schlumberger for more than 25 years. He then worked for Houston's Harris County until the day of his homegoing.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Anita Jones (wife), Michael Carl Jones Jr. (son), Kanesha Brooks (daughter), Chanel Jones (daughter), and Christopher Jones (son).
