Michael David Kachmar, a humorous and hard-working individual, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 65. A native of Houston, Texas, Michael was known for his vibrant personality and dedication to his work.
Throughout his career, Michael excelled as a heavy equipment operator, custom pool builder, and printer. His passion for building custom pools was evident in his work, and he took great pride in each project he completed.
Michael is survived by his brothers, Walter Craig Buckley and his wife, La Donna, Richard Alan Kachmar and his wife, Mesalina, and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Tedder. He also leaves behind beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who will cherish his memory.
In his personal life, Michael was a storyteller, instigator, aggravator, and daredevil. He loved to fish and was always ready with a humorous tale or a daring challenge. Michael also loved to play Dominoes. His friends and family will fondly remember his adventurous spirit and his favorite saying, "Do you know math?"
Michael David Kachmar will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service honoring Michael will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Waltrip Funeral Directors.
