Mike Marron, 74, of Houston, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 15 2021. Mike was born to Antonio Marron and Concepcion Rangel Marron, May 19, 1947, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1965 and attended a Vocational School where he mastered accounting in which he used his trade to work in the Oil & Gas Industry as an accountant. He married his beautiful and loving wife, Martha Pallanez Marron in 1974, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised five children.
He is survived by his children, Michael A. Marron, Martin J. Marron, Matthew J. Marron and wife Linda L. Marron, Melissa M. Marron and husband Corey D. Burnett and his granddaughter, Mariana Martha Marron. He also leaves to cherish his memories, siblings, Johnny Marron, Rosa Marron, and Carmen Marron. He was preceded in death by Antonio Marron, father, Concepcion Rangel Marron, mother, Ralph Marron, brother, Gabriel Marron, brother, Tony Marron, brother, Martha Pallanez Marron, wife, and Mario Xavier Marron, dearly beloved son.
Mike also served our country in the army during the Vietnam War and was later honorably discharged. In the late 60s, Mike Marron (vocals, guitar) along with Ralph Marron Sr. (bass, singer songwriter) and friend Roy Paramo (keyboards), formed a musical group called “The Star Lights'' showcasing Tejano and R&B music. After much success, their sheer passion for Tejano music led the brothers to create a new group in the 70s called “The Saints & Sinners.” We pay tribute to Mike Marron in becoming a leader with his brother Ralph for Tejano music. Not only was Mike a talented musician, he was also a dedicated husband and father to his wife, Martha Marron and his five children.
He followed in his fathers footsteps (Antonio Marron) who was a well known leader as a political activist in Houston. Putting God first, is what Mike Marron preached to his family and friends. He was actively involved in the community and believed in fighting for people's rights and lived everyday as a child of God, Catholic believer and a follower of Christ. May he rest in heaven and continue to serve the Lord and watch over us.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 5pm-9pm with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
