

He was born in Cocula, Jalisco, Mexico on September 29, 1931 to Manuel and Josefina Tornero. Miguel is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beatrice, son, Michael Jr., and grandchildren, Kristen Ann, John Oliver, and Michael Rene Justin. Miguel is survived by his children: Betty, Martha, Christina, David, Victor, Alfred, Mark Anthony, Rubi, Julio, Miguel Angel, Patricia, and Josefina.
Miguel was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church since 1968. Miguel was a respected business man having opened his business in 1966, Mike’s Auto Trim & Upholstery. Miguel was a man of integrity, who did business with a handshake. Miguel's talented upholstery skills and ethics were instilled in his sons who continue lead in his legacy.
In his latter years he spent his time outdoors, reading his bible, and staying up to-date with the Houston Chronicle. Miguel was a storyteller, an intelligent, articulate man, full of knowledge, filled with wisdom, and had a witty sense of humor. Miguel enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He found his true passion in helping and giving to others.
His presence will be missed, but we are comforted with God’s promise.

A visitation for Miguel will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060.
A mass will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Houston, TX 77002. The committal will be at Earthman Resthaven’s cemetery at 3 PM.
