Mike Ybarra Ramirez was laid to his eternal rest to Our Heavenly Father on October 17th 2023 at the age of 63 years of age. He was born on October 11th 1960 in Bryan TX to his natural birth Mother Lillie Ybarra and was adopted into his new extended parents Herminia Ybarra Ramirez and Natividad Ramirez when he was an infant. He grew up and spent all his adult life in Bryan TX.
He was a free spirited soul who decided he just wanted to go to school until the 8th Grade because he was trying to be responsible and begin working by 15 or 16 years of age. He never regretted what he did because he knew he had to be responsible from a young age to start his mark on the world and NEVER looked back. When he was a young adult and right before he married me and realized the importance of Education so he struggled but got his GED from a small Career College, but they closed before he could try to retrieve his credit for getting it so sadly he tried as an adult and by then Math and studies has changed and WAY TO MUCH new Technology for ANY adult brain so complicated he gave it his best but I was PROUD of him to give his effort and that counted more than anything to me.
He was born with special features that from his youth he was told by countless Doctors when his Mother had him in and out of Hospitals that he would never have the opportunity to Serve any Military Service or work long periods of time on his feet. That saddened him but he did what he could all his life. When we were married it took it’s toll on him and even lost body parts due to it. He was a very PROUD man and did the best he could for what and where his life took him to.
Throughout our lives together he was started to develop illnesses and just progressed through the 32 years of our Marriage. His health slowly started to take the best of him and he struggled daily and tried not to let it show but I knew all his health issues and cared for all of his health needs and now he is resting from all his pain.
His ABSOLUTE JOY to him was his Tattooing he did seriously for the last 3 years of his life as a Hobby he enjoyed. He became quite good I was his hardest critic, and he would show me his work and fix what needed fixing. He had MANY TALENTS, he made BEAUTIFUL creative Holy Rosaries for ANYONE who would ask for one and little charge to none because he considered his talent a gift from Our Blessed Mother and he made them with pride and love. The joy and lives he touched with them will continue with them for years to come. He did all of this and much more while struggling with his health issues that eventually took his life.
He was preceded in death by his natural Mother Lillie Ybarra and his Adoptive Parents Natividad Ramirez and Herminia Ybarra Ramirez, his Brothers Lucas Ybarra, Johnny Ybarra and Roger Ybarra and his Sisters Barbara Atkinson and Janie “J.J.” Ybarra.
He was survived by his Wife Sarah J. Ramirez we were not Blessed with any children but have many Godchildren and Unofficial adopted young adults in our lives that became and have become extended family to us I will MISS him daily.
