Mollye Rosaura Blackburn

Mollye Rosaura McLeod Blackburn passed away on June 19, 2023. Mollye was born on March 22,1943, in Houston, Texas to William A. McLeod and Felicia E. Bilao McLeod. Mollye grew up in Houston, graduating from Reagan High School and attended the University of Houston. Mollye was proud of her Italian and Scottish heritage. She was a long-time member of the Italian Cultural Center, Arba Sicula and the Clan MacLeod Society. She was also an active member of the Porsche Club of America, Lone Star Region, and was named Member of the Year along with co-editor of their monthly newsletter, The Porschenaut, for many years. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joe Blackburn; daughters and sons-in-law, Ayn and Francisco Garza; Susan and John Sampson; beloved grandchildren Grace and Joseph Roberts; brother Bill McLeod and Mildred; sisters-in-law, Allene King McLeod and Patricia Ogg McLeod; brother-in-law Bob and Linda Blackburn; cousins, Theresa Delbasty, Janice, Michael, and Mark Grizzaffi, Barbara Stavinoha, Dr. Lonnie and Leah McLeod and Msgr.John Moretta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mollye was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bob and Alonzo. A visitation for Mollye will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Colonial Chapel on Saturday June 24, 2023 at 1 PM. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 PM. Burial will be at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 3 PM.
