

Brother Morris Lazare Jr., was born February 22, 1952, in Pineville, Louisiana. He is the son of Morris Sr. and Lucille Lazare. Morris is the third of six children. Throughout his life's endeavors, Morris made a significant difference in the lives of people. His greeting was a smile, never meeting a stranger. Morris found his life's calling in his love and concern for people. He freely gave of his time, knowledge, talent, wisdom and means. He was a great listener, encourager, inspirer, and motivator that befriended people from all walks of life. Morris was talented, skilled and well known for his work in his craft. Equally so, Morris was well known and respected in his church, neighborhood, workplace and family. He will be genuinely missed by all those who encountered and experienced his wisdom, strength, integrity and love. With his wife, son, daughter, and extended family at his side, Brother Lazare peacefully exited his earthly home to enter his eternal home on Tuesday, October 6th, at 3:55p.m. Morris lived well and prepared to meet his Heavenly Father while here on earth. He departed this life in the same fashion as he lived, with a smile on his face. Morris leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Wilma; two children , DeMarcus and Rhonda Lazare; one brother, Patrick Lazare; four sisters, Roseleaine Norris, Cheryl Preston, Audrey Hill, JoAnn Washington, three grandchildren; Corey Kinchen, Christopher Kinchen, Trevion Kinchen Sr., three great grandchildren; Davonte Kinchen, Jamarie Kinchen, Trevion Kinchen, Jr., and a host of loving nieces, one nephew, and special in-laws. The homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, beginning with visitation at 9:00a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00a.m., at the North Wayside Church of Christ, 7015 North Wayside Drive. Morris was a jewel that will forever be treasured by his family and friends!
