Nadija Balaban Sulyukmanov, a beloved, honest, kind-hearted, and faithful woman, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on July 16, 1971, in Ternopil, Ukraine, Nadija moved to the United States in 1990 and became a cherished resident of The Woodlands, Texas.
Nadija is survived by her husband, Albert Sulyukmanov, her daughter Christine Sulyukmanov and son-in-law Nathan Taylor. She also leaves behind her mother, Eugenia Balaban, her brother Viktor Balaban and sister-in-law Maria Balaban, her sister Halyna Seniw, her brother Ivan Balaban, and her nieces and nephews, Nina Lytvynchuk, Olia Cadena, Tania Seniw, Oksana Balaban and Ihor Balaban.
Nadija was a dedicated member of Pokrova Ukrainian Church and the Ukrainian National Women's League of America for over 25 years. Whether Nadija was an official member of an organization or not, she was more than willing to lend a helpful hand and go out of her way for the success and well-being of others.
She wholeheartedly enjoyed reading books, doing puzzles, and sewing Ukrainian embroidery. Her family hopes that her community and friends will always remember to embody her hard-working, kind-hearted, and selfless spirit.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on November 28, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at Pokrova Ukrainian Catholic Church (Protection of Mother of God), 9102 Meadowshire St, Houston, TX 77037, on November 29, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The committal will follow at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Taylor, Konstantin Lytvynchuk, Patrick Cadena, Ihor Balaban, Nestor Dub, and Dan Robertson.
