Norma Lee Wellborn Parshall, age 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2013, in Houston. She was born in Howe, OK to Marvin M. and Juanita York Wellborn, who preceded her in death. Her loving husband of 58 years, Ralph Eugene Parshall, proceeded her in death, also.
Norma graduated from John H. Reagan High School with high honors and was a proud member of the Reagan Red Coats. After 23 years as Executive Secretary to the President, she retired from Bowen Tools, Inc.
Her church family at North Houston Baptist Church, friends from Spring Branch Community Church now Bridgepoint Bible, and many other friends faithfully prayed for and comforted her. She was very grateful to the Lord for her salvation. Her favorite Psalm was 100, a Psalm for Thanksgiving.
Norma was known for writing and sending notes and cards of encouragement. Her husband said he should have bought stock in Hallmark many years ago. She loved butterflies and was gifted with many shapes and sizes.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula Parshall and Lee Anne Chumley and husband, Steve, and by grandsons, Christopher, Cameron Lee, her namesake, and Cody Chumley.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Heights Funeral Home. Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home with interment to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to Star of Hope Mission, 6897 Ardmore, Houston, TX 77054.
