NORMA ALZINA (Mee-Mee) YIENGST 77, was born on December 4, 1934 and was unexpectedly called home Sunday, July 22, 2012. She was a devoted wife to David Lee for 45 years; he preceded her in death May of 2001. She was an extremely loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many! Norma was a Reagan High School graduate class of 52' and worked at Prudential Life Insurance until becoming a full-time Mother. Norma loved going to Fitzgerald's in Las Vegas 2 or 3 times a year; her nick-name was "KENO QUEEN". She was also known as the Patriarch of the family; always sending birthday, anniversary, sympathy, get well and congratulations cards. More than anything, she enjoyed family get-togethers, having teenagers over and cooking for everyone. Norma and David enjoyed boating on the San Jacinto River (back-in-the-pollution-free-days), going to Jamaica Beach, square-dancing for years, their yearly summer vacations to New Braunfels "Camp Warnecke" until Schlitterbahn bought out the camp. From that year on, the family found beautiful Destin, Florida where Norma made life-long friends whom she corresponded with until her passing. Mother was ALWAYS supportive of her children and grand-children's decisions. Whether she believed in their decisions or not, she would support them and lend a listening ear. She loved talking on the phone for hours and hours with her brother "Theodore", Uncle James and Aunt Patsy. She embraced and cherished the lunch and drop-in visits from her brother George. Norma always thought of others before herself. In fact she never complained of her illnesses. She was an EXTREMELY private person and could hold a secret better than anyone! She is survived by daughters, Rhonda Martinelli and Karen (Yiengst) Klecka, husband Mike and her Number 1 Son, David L. (Spookie) Yiengst Jr., wife Jan. Grandchildren: Nicole Marie Martinelli, Heather Martinelli-Roughton, James Christopher, Travis David (T.D.) Klecka. Jill, Aida and Clay Simmons, Mandi (Simmons) Brack and husband Aaron. Great-Grandchildren, Ryan & Kylie Simmons, Charles Henry Martin and Cole Martinelli. Uncle: J.T. Hoke and Aunt Patsy. Brothers: George Trigg, wife Sharon and Ted Trigg, wife Shirley. Cousins: Annette Peters, husband Pete and Judy Hoke Meschwitz, husband Charles. Nieces: Lisa (Trigg) Mendel, husband, Kevin and their daughter, Megan, Sherri Trigg, Monica (Trigg) Jenkins, husband, Randy and their sons, Matthew Spivey and Joel Jenkins. Nephews: Ray and David Durham and Teddy Trigg and his daughter, Felicia. Norma's dearest best friend, Evelyn Hartman, her daughters, Vickie Johnson, husband Mike and Becky Martin, husband Henry. Long-time neighbors Bill Glosson (his daughter, SanDee) and Tommie & Angela Allen. As well as many other loving family and friends. Norma will be greatly missed by many whom lives she touched; her soul in Heaven, brightly shining down; watching us, guiding us, as we all live on in her memory. She will not be forgotten.
