Pamela worked as teacher and accountant for many years until her retirement. She had a passion for reading and taking care of her beloved cats, Sonny and Cher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Jerald Matthews, and her brother, James Jones, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Matthews, her granddaughter Sarah
Matthews-Vincent (Michael), her grandsons Michael Jenkins and Joseph Ayers, her great grandson, Braxton Vincent, and her friend, Debra Vincent. Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 a.m., July 6, 2024, at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.
