Paul S. Durham

Paul Stafford Durham, a servant of the Lord, was born November 16, 1919 in Galveston, Texas to Edmond Meadows Durham and Jessie Matilda (Baker) Durham. He departed this life January 25, 2014. He was a member of the Watters Road Church of Christ, Pasadena, Texas. He served as an elder for many years at the Broadway and Southeast Churches of Christ in Houston, Texas.

Paul served in the 1st Marine Division From 1942 to 1946, seeing action on Pelilu and Okinawa and serving six months in the occupation of China.

He began working at Reed Tool Company in 1939 and retired in 1984 after 45 years of service.

Paul was a Christian husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Louise (Hager) Durham, and children Diane and husband Gale Farley of Ilion, New York, Pamela and husband Jerry Jones of Pasadena, Texas and Paul and wife Rachelle Durham of Loveland, Colorado; grandchildren Kimberly and husband Marty Seymour, Jennifer and husband Minor Gordon, Gregory Farley and Kelsey Durham; great-grandson Gavin Paul Seymour; step-grandchildren Justin Patterson, Justin Patterson, John Jones, Glen Jones and their families; one niece and six nephews;

He was preceded in death by his parents Edmond Meadows Durham and Jessie Matilda (Baker) Durham, brothers Earl Durham, Kenneth Ray Durham, Victor Leroy Durham and sister Violet Irene Asher.

Services will be held Friday, 1/31 at Watters Road Church of Christ, 3616 Watters Road, Pasadena, Texas, Barry Day and Charles Davis officiating. Visitation will be held at 10AM with Funeral Services at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Watters Road Mission fund, a program dear to his heart.
