Paula Hernandez

She was a gracious woman who loved the Lord and was strong in her Christian faith. Her favorite things to do were embroidering, to cook, and gardening. Her favorite color was purple. She was deeply loved by her family and all who knew her. Proverbs: 31:28 "Her children arise up, and call her blessed".

Paula was born to Guillermo and Julia Martinez in Houses, Texas on August 10, 1919. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Antonio Hernandez, Sr.; daughter, Manuela; sons-in-law, Tomas Castillo & Genaro Cortez; siblings: George, Catarino, Juana & Senaida; grandson, Joe Angel Rosales; great grandson, Antonio Hernandez, IV.

Her surviving siblings include: Teodora, Chavela, Pablo, Pedro, Otilia & Mary; Daughters: Julia Hernandez, Janie Cortez, Mary Nanez & husband Arthur, Dora Flores & husband Erasmo, Sons: Antonio Hernandez, Jr. & wife Rebecca, Reynaldo Hernandez & wife Linda.

She was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; numerous friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19th from 5:00-9:00pm along with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday July 20th at Forest Park Lawndale with the Interment to follow.
