Pete Hernandez

Pedro (Pete) Jose Partida Hernandez, 92, of Humble, Texas passed away March 19, 2025. He was born to Demetrio Hernandez and Theodora Partida Hernandez, January 23, 1933 in Houston, Texas. Pete married Elidia (Lillie) Casarez Hernandez and together raised 4 children.

Pete leaves to cherish his memory daughters: Anna Maria McCoy, Connie Medrano and Rachel Barrett; son, John Moreno; granddaughters: Jo Ann Mendoza, Elizabeth A. Ayala and Veronica Garcia; grandson, Joseph Moreno; great-grandsons, Adrian Carrizales, Noel Carrizalez, Ramon O. Ayala and Moses Ayala; great-great grandchildren, Luna Carrizales, Samuel Ayala and Robert Ayala.

Pete served in the Air Force, and later retired, after 30 years from an oil refinery.

In 1977, he accepted a Free Home Bible Study, from a Jehovah's Witness who knocked on his door. He developed a love for the Truth. In 1979, along with Lillie and Anna, as a family, dedicated their lives to Jehovah God by water baptism.

Pete enjoyed gardening, reading, playing the piano and guitar, sketching and oil painting. Along with a sense of humor, he was mild-tempered, generous, with a loving heart.
