Ralph Barajas Sr.

Ralph Barajas Sr., 89 of Genoa, Texas, passed on July 5, 2022 in the comfort and peace of his home. Ralph was born to Enrique Barajas and Juanita P. Rocamontes, on October 24, 1932. He married Ernestine Garcia on October 25, 1953 at the age of 21. They lived together in Houston, TX where they raised their 3 children.

He is survived by his wife Ernestine, his children, Patricia A. Sosa, Ralph Barajas Jr. and his wife Toña Barajas, Sylvia Moreno and her husband Rene (Sonny) Moreno. Ralph Barajas also leaves behind his grandchildren, Daniel Sosa Jr., Deleana Garcia, Delilah Sosa Chapa, Jacob Sosa and Isaac Moreno, as well as 12 beautiful great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory by his two sisters, Lulu Romero and Terry Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his father Enrique, his mother Juanita, and his sister Henrietta Liles.

Ralph enjoyed dancing, traveling, and spending time with his many great friends and family. He was most proud of his 68 year marriage with his adoring wife whom he loved being with and being able to provide for her throughout his life. He truly loved and cherished his life with her.

A visitation for Ralph will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.

A funeral service at the Chapel of Angels will occur Friday, July 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.

A graveside service will occur Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
