Ralph Raymond Mercado III

Ralph Raymond Mercado III, aged 79, of La Porte, Texas, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Born in Eunice, Louisiana, Ralph led a life defined by service, love, and dedication to his family and country.

Ralph proudly served in the Army before embarking on a successful career in the chemical industry as a Millwright. His commitment to excellence and hard work left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He was united in marriage to Carol Lynn Easterling, and together they shared a loving union blessed with three children: James Robert Mercado, Natalie D'Lys McClain, and Annette D'Lynn Bear. Ralph's devotion to his family was unwavering, and his legacy lives on through them.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Leola Mercado, his brother James Robert Mercado, and his sister Theresa Ann Knapek. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Mercado, his children James, Natalie, and Annette, as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation for Ralph on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Ralph will be laid to rest in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, where he will find eternal peace.
