Ramona Jean Pope heard God’s final call May 8, 2018. God first called her to be the DAUGHTER of Faye C. and Flora Ann Neal Thompson on August 1, 1939; SISTER of the late Harold Thompson (Bobbie Smith) and Judy Thompson Williams (James Williams); in life, He called her to be the MOTHER of Joe Pope, Jr., John Pope (Trish David), and Justin Pope (Stacy Horne); GRANDMOTHER of Jacob, Taylor, Julia, and Jeffrey Pope, and Tiffany Horne; AUNT to the late Harold “Chip” Thompson and Pamela Thompson Tworek; FOREVER SISTER-in-LAW to the late Jerry Jay Williams; SPECIAL FRIEND to Stephanie Roegner; BELOVED NEIGHBOR of Blanca Aleman, Thomas Gutierrez, and John Hassler; and SOURCE of JOY for numerous others whose lives she touched profoundly.
Family will receive friends Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 9 a.m. in the Chapel of Angels at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston, TX 77023, followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 10 a.m. Graveside will follow in the Garden of Angels.
