Our beloved brother, uncle and friend, Raul Rivera, was born on February 11, 1962 in Houston, Texas and was lifted into heaven on November 1, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Guadalupe Rivera. He is lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings: Ruben Rivera, Oralia Arias, Armando Rivera, Francisco Rivera Jr., Maria Gonzales, and Sylvia Zepeda. He is also remembered by his 17 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, and countless friends. He had a passion for tennis, watching ice skating, running, traveling and enjoying a nice cocktail beverage. He was a man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. We find peace in our hearts knowing he is pain free and rejoicing with his beloved parents.
Family and friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. Last viewing and burial will begin at Forest Park Lawndale on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. Procession to burial site will begin at noon to Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
