Richard Lee Blakely, Sr. 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Houston, Tx. Born on November 26,1928 in Houston, Tx he was a 1946 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School. He joined the US Navy and served from 1950 to 1954 as an aviation electronics airman during the Korean War.
He is survived by his 2 sons; Richard Lee Blakely, Jr. of Houston and Kenneth Lane Blakely of Houston, Tx. One daughter; Cindy Marie Blakely of Houston, Tx, and grandsons; Ricky Lee Blakely III of Baytown and Taylor Lane Blakely of Willis.
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday the 2nd of February from 11:00am to 4:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale. Funeral services will take place at 2:00pm on Thursday the 3rd of February in the Family Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Cemetery with interment immediately following funeral services.
