He was born in Houston on February 27, 1935 to Joe and Herlinda Flores. Richard graduated from night school at Jefferson Davis High School.
He was married to Mary Sarabia on February 15, 1958. Richard had a career in chemicals for W.R Grace and had a passion for gardening.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Mary Sarabia Flores; children, Linda Kaisand, Kathy Castillo and husband Danny, Richard Flores Jr. and wife Debbie; grandchildren Tony Rivera and wife Valerie, Marissa Castillo and husband Hugo Diaz, Robert Kaisand, Nicholas Castillo and wife Suzanna Garcia Kendall and Claire Flores; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Mason Rivera, Gavin Kaisand; siblings, Joe Flores and wife Aurora, Roy Flores, Alex Flores and wife Anna.
